The cusp of summer is a beautiful time to be out looking for wild edible food. All of the spring greens are still kind of hanging on, the mushrooms are popping up everywhere and berries are beginning to form. Join me on another excursion into the lands of Northern Michigan to learn all kinds of wild edibles and medicinals(not FDA approved).
This outing will be taking place at the beautiful Deyoung Natural Area off of Cherry Bend Rd. In Traverse City. Not only will we be able to Identify and taste some of the food that nature provides, but we will be able to explore the relatively new planting of the Edible Trails Project, which will one day be an actual food forest free to the public. So please sign up now! Pre register for 25/walk up 35. Kids 13 and under always free and remember to dress appropriately for the weather. See y'all then!
