Foraging in Late Summer/Early Fall 9/8/18

25.99

It’s that time of year again, the summer is winding down, the squirrels are beginning to put away their collected nuts and mushrooms, and us humans are preparing mentally for a long winter ahead. In this class we will cover the basics of “preparing for winter”, and what it means to really gather massive amounts of food for later consumption. We’ll go over what to collect, how to collect, when to collect and why it’s important. Bring a notebook if that is your thing, but otherwise dress appropriately for all weather conditions and be prepared to walk for a while through the beautiful trails at the Grand Traverse Commons.
