In this class we will take ordinary logs and turn them into shiitake logs that will produce mushrooms for many years to come.
Mushroom log cultivation is one of the best and most reliable ways to produce some of the worlds tastiest mushrooms. These are the freshest mushrooms around and nothing beats the taste of true log grown shiitakes.
In this class we will:
Talk about which logs to use
Learn about mushroom spawn
Drill, fill, and seal mushroom logs
Learn about proper placement and storage of mushroom logs to ensure success
This class will start at 12 pm on Saturday April 11th and last approximately 4 hours.
Please dress accordingly for the weather at that time of the year. And bring a snack.
All participants will leave with 2 mushroom logs to take home.
There are only 10 spots available for this class and no exceptions will be made.
Location details are to be sent out with registration, but the class will take place in Kingsley, MI, which is just south of Traverse City.
All refunds will be issued at 75% of the original cost of the class due to fees on both ends, and no refunds are issued within 6 days of the date of the class.
