Chaga and Winter Herbs
Chaga and Winter Herbs
Many people think that foraging is an activity that is exclusive to the warmer months of the year, but nothing could be further from the truth. In this class we will go out and find Chaga, an highly sought after fungus, and other wild plants that we can utilize in the winter months.
This class will take place outside so be aware that it is a good idea to dress appropriately for the weather. This means jacket, gloves, boots etc.
The hike will last approximately 2-2.5 hours and everyone will leave with a little bit of Chaga that I will have prepared ahead of time, so that there is no lack in case we only find a little bit.
This class will meet at 12:00 PM on Saturday the 7th of March at a location in the Grand Traverse county region. Exact location will be given at the time of registration.
All refunds will be issued at 75% of the cost of the class due to fees associated with square, and no refunds will be issued within 6 days of the date of the class.
All children 12 and under are free to attend so long as they are not disruptive to the learning environment.
